I think everyone understands family problems, health problems, etc... but in the field I work in I see this all the time. There's always 2 sides to every story and somewhere in-between is the truth. Here's the only truth that matters: people gave Alain money and he took it never delivering a product. No other truth matters because for all we know the money was used to fund some other game he's developing. That statement is no more valid or truthful then the last 3 months of "issues" we've received from the designer.
