Well, you're overlooking fleet supply with the dreadnaut+flagship example. Warsuns let you get away with a minimum investment there.

Also movement speed and invasion power. Those dreadnauts can only hold a ground force each which isn't enough if mech units are in play. You need type IV drives on top of assault cannon to get the most out of it too, a tech that's a stretch to reach without Inheritance systems. You could get assault cannons and mass deflectors and XRD and type IV, but at that point why not just get war suns instead?

Back to racial techs, I'm thinking more and more to leave them out entirely. Are there any that you think are needed to "complete" a race? They seem entirely overpowered or ignorable.
