I have the tin and I ordered additional sleeves from Mayday, despite the discrepancy in measurements. They are the same.
Now I can verify these packs from Mayday are not the very same size, as stated, they are a little larger. I will use it for companions/minions cards, and the tin sleeves to events cards.
The difference is noticeable to you? Sorry to lead you astray. I haven't noticed a difference and assumed the difference was that one set of measurements stated the dimensions of the sleeve, the other the dimensions of the cards they're intended to hold.
