I love all 3 games but I think they all feel quite different.Eminent Domain is the only deck builder out of the 3. And the whole "drafting in order to perform a role" is an interesting mechanic that differentiates it from other deck builders.
All 3 games share role selection, however each does it a little differently.
They also share tableau building. For me, however, RftG and GtR are all about the tableau. Most of your power is gained through your tableau, and you will play cards off of it. Although your tableau (planets) is a big way to get points in EmDo, managing your deck is a key to your success. The game has a natural arc (as many deck-builders do) where you want cards that help you early but then have to be careful they don't clog your hand in the late game.
I've had RftG for a long time so it's hard to say that Eminent Domain comes to the table for me more often because it's better received or because it's newer and just hasn't been worn out by 50 plays yet (I think it's the latter). However, Eminent Domain does have a much smaller learning curve, so it's much easier to introduce to new players, and that always helps it get to the table.
I find the 3 games coexist nicely in my collection. I don't think you can go wrong with Eminent Domain.
