Is there any way to get the articles without buying the magazine? $17 is pretty steep and I don't need the varient counters.

A question like this always comes up whenever contents of a new issue are announced. All I can say is that C3i authors are paid for their submitted material, so giving away cherry-picked portions of the magazine probably isn't an option.

Having said that, when an issue sells-out we have seen articles pop up on the C3i Ops Center for download (but who knows how long that will take).

Along those lines, I wonder to what extent AA and perhaps the rest of the COIN series is attracting all new customers to GMT? I have a few GMT games, but like the fellow above, have never purchased C3i.

I think that's a great point, Mike - COIN is really 'hot' right now so led by Rodger, we as a team put together the AA bonus section because player interest was surging so rapidly. I truly can envision COIN becoming a GMT featured series just like GBoH or Command & Colors.

Finally, $17 really is a bargain considering the plethora of written material, a countersheet, play aids and inserts, plus a complete game that are jam-packed into the magazine. I just proofread most of the upcoming issue, and it is just amazing - I can't imagine any true gamer not enjoying the varied contents (including interviews and in-depth design/development articles).

i]edit[/iTell you what, Mike - if you pre-order issue #26 and don't care for it at all, I'll purchase it back from you. I'm confident that GMT and AA fans will love the magazine (especially you first-timers!), and as a contributing editor I am willing to put my money where my mouth is. Fair enough?
