I'll let more experienced voices be the true guides, but are you worried at all about the opacity of play?
I'm not worried about opacity. We'll almost certaiunly be playing whichever we choose into the ground, so we'll end up intimately familiar with all the cards.
One note is that you can download a great solo AI program for Race so maybe you could both try that (its free) and see if it clicks with you before rushing out to buy one or the other.
Good idea!
P.S. Innovation is another one in this genre that I think is best with 2P, features a lot of direct interaction, is deep and long lasting (I hear) and probably lays somewhere between the two in opacity of play. You should check that one out too
Yes, I'm considering this one too, but it sounds like race and glory are maybe a little more strategically deep, so it's out of the running for now.
