πρόξεινος τε ειη και ευεργέτης

The Proxenos (a kind of Consul in other polis) is always looking after your interests. He is a backstabber, a briber and the only unit in the game able to avoid a controlled territory or region.

You'll have to expose him occasionally while doing his job. But be careful, you may easily forget this unique unit inside a recently taken polis where is in danger.

Try to get him quickly into one of the 3 types of polis where is fully safe:

1. Your capital (Sparta or Athens) because it can't be taken by siege

2. Any enemy polis. Don't let him stay in one of your polis too long, he is an instigator and he can't be captured inside an enemy polis (no siege possible by the owner!)

3. Epidamnos or Abdera. Both polis can't be taken by siege (because they don't belong to any territory) and remember that both Proxenos can't share the same polis.

This is just an example of moving the Proxenos between safe polis:

Both proxenos are safely placed in their capitals (like at the beginning of the standard scenario)

The Athenian proxenos moves to Naupaktos (enemy Polis) and the Spartan one to Athenai (enemy capital)

The Athenian proxenos finally moves to Epidamnos and the Spartan one to Abdera, where both may be safe as long as they want
