For clarification:

Step 1: Buy either the 6 VP or 10 VP cards (or both, and/or as many as possible of both).

Step 2: Copy them as often as possible.

Step 3: Win.

First: Yes this is a good way to win the game, but you already stated that you are not sure if you need the 6VP or the 10VP (with both and/or as many as possible of both, there is a problem, you have to pay them, so you need money, so you will not enough meeple to go for the copy spaces on the board). Derek told me here: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/877953/is-this-game-brok... that somebody won, with just doing the copy action stuff with only the 3VP and the 2VP cards. Someone else thought you absolutely need the 10VP together with the copy card. Jonathan told us, that sharpen the elbows is very useful to get enough double spaces. For me these are already at least 3 differnt ways to victory. (similar but different)

Second: If we believe that we need (taking the "middle" strategy) first one of the 6VP cards (there are 3 of them numbered 49,50,51, in step 3). These cards cost you 8 money each and if you want to buy them very early you might need additional 2 money. You only have 7 single 1 money cards in your start deck and only draw 5 each turn and have to give away 1 for turn order. So you need money for that strategy (buying that money cards earlier), but you also have to be early in buying cards, so you need a high card for turn order (buying that cards earlier), then you need to have the right cards in the numbers you need, when buying (buying that "draw more cards" cards earlier) and maybe thinking of shrinking your deck, you should have taken that action earlier. So I think there are different strategies to get to this one chosen strategy from that at lease 3 strategies in "First"

Third: There is even another strategy. Taking only money and the money doubler to have so much money to buy a Dr. for around 30 money (I have seen that). Problem here is if others are just stop buying cards, because they are only doubling their VPs, then you might not get to the Drs before the game end, but you have a lot of money and can buy 2 cards each round.

Fourth and for me most important:
I've read many comments and discussions and there are so many different reasons why this game is broken and all of these reasons are stating another card or card-combination as unbeatable:
- 10VPs
- 6 VPs
- 3 VPs early
- Copy-Card
- "Spendensammlung": Draw as many cards as you spend money
- Placing two more workers
- Destroy 1 card to get one more worker
- At Essen fair somebody just bought both skull sessions (Keep cards in hand) and got very fast to the point where he always had all cards in his hand. Yes that was a good strategy, too.
- The money doubler
- The VP marker doubler

The only cards which are not in the discussion for broken strategies are "draw more cards" and "2 or 3 money", but I still believe, that you need them, too, to win the game.

Now if you know all the different things in the game there are still cards and spaces more interesting than others, but you still have to decide if it is better to sacrifice a good card for a good turn order or not. Not to mention that the position of the red cards on the street is also important.

For me it is a game, where you might find out kind of easy what to do best, but the difficult part is to get there.

Hope this helps.
