Do the people roasting this blend have a choice of filling this free bean space with something else instead from their personal roaster? Or is this spot reserved only for the free bean if there is one available?
Hmmm .. I'm going to have to revisit this in the rules because I'm pretty sure the order of placing beans at the beginning of a round are first to the free-bean slate position, then countries running east-to-west.
I've never received the impression that the free-bean field was optional.
