So I have had my eye on TI3 for awhile (I love 4x type games) but I have limited storage capacity living in apartment with an already growing collection. With the announcement of the smaller Runewars box I was thinking FFG might do the same for TI3 or maybe even come out with TI4 like they did with Descent 2.0. I am looking to try my first game maybe in January but am tempted to just dive into the coffin box version, and figure out storage later. However I am worried I am going to buy it then next year FFG will announce an update to the game or something. I figure this crew might have some thoughts or heard any rumors.

You can´t imagine how much I understand you, the lack of storage room is the only single reasong to not own this game for me :(
