This game just happened the day before yesterday. So I don't think it was mentioned before.

Are you the infamous Shane that is mentioned in this Geeklist? http://boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/149004/item/2370895#item23...

As far as investing I got the ability to get research points equal to points so I got an investment chip before anyone else then I think 2 or 3 other people got one. (It was a seven player game)
But the one time 4 other players got on a 5 green bean blend I immediately removed the blend with a card putting myself back in best blend.

For research I increased growing to max so I got lots of research when I did that. I got one investment chip and I took cards for the rest of the game.

Wow, you juiced the heck out the Research Tracks, then. Nicely done.

In my first game with 4 players we had a good idea what color other players had but with 7 it made it very difficult to do that and no one did. I think what I did would be more quickly recognized and blocked with fewer players.

Yep, it's definitely more difficult to keep track of who has what in a 7-player game unless there's a snitch or two to help police the table. I tend to take on the snitch role on occasion because I'm the most vocal - I coerce information out of people with seemingly-innocent intentions and then try to disseminate it to others who have an opposite goal. They usually tie each other up pretty well while I can, hopefully, get a good bit ahead.

Sounds like your gameplay style is a lot like Cherilyn's - she maximizes Research opportunities while I turn everyone at the table against each other and then mooch points as much as possible. :)

Cheers,
Chris
