HiToday I should play Polis for the first time so yesterday I simulated almost 2 rounds to understand quite all the rules.
I still have some questions I remember this morning ^^
1. Cubes on territory trade areas.
On 2 pictures here on BGG I see some blue cubes on some territory squares trade and I dont' understand why there are here Oo
I understand that when trading you take the hoplites on the territory map to fill 1-3-6-10 etc. in order to know how many ressources you collect. Then you put a disc and return your hoplites on their native polis. True ?
So what are the blue cubes remaining on the pictures ? A mistake ? I hope so ^^
So another question : is there a disadvantage to use all the hoplites of a polis to collect ? I think not because they return to the polis just at the end of the action...probably after some games we won't fill the little 1-3-6-10 squares anymore no ?
2. Feeding population at the end of a round
Is the number of population to feed only the cubes remaining next each of our city cards ? Or the printed number of 'base population' ? Or all the cubes on map representing also a type of population (hoplites, galley). Military don't need to be fed then ?
Am i right?
And then counting the population to know who wins, is this the same thing ? Only cubes remainins next to city cards?
I'd like to really be sure of these population crucial game aspects ^^
And it seems to be really hard to have enough Prestige to make some actions

Great game !!!
Thx
