Good day BGG collegues

Sorry if i'm repeating already answered question but i've couldnt find anything on this matter

Can a player ship some amount of cargo on givien ship, filling it completely and then ship rest of the same cargo on his invisible exclusive ship he/she got from wharf?

Example:
1) Tthere is corn ship with 2 space left and captain faze arrives.
2) Player have 5 corns so he puts 2 on regular ship, up to the limit.
3) At the end of captain faze, he ships his last 3 corns on wharf ship.

Is it legal or should it be played other way?
