Artillery affects the spotting round hex and the six surrounding hexes and you roll a separate FP for each hex that contains units or fortifications (fortifications can be destroyed by artillery). If units are in one of the seven hexes attacked by artillery then hedges/walls provide no cover against an artillery FP attack in that hex.

Any units adjacent to but not in one of the seven hexes hit by artillery would not be affected in any manner.

No, again hedges/walls provide no cover against artillery. The base morale would be 7-1=6

7-1+4=10 (against mortars and artillery foxholes give +3 plus a bonus +1 for a total modifier of +4)
